Define GEMS

posted by tristan @ 9/13/2006 12:08:00 AM

GEMS, which stands for "Go the Extra Mile for Service", is a national movement that aims to improve service levels.

But seems like Califonia Fitness have failed to perform or rather keep up with these standards. Upon reading the California Fitness SUCKS posting on shuiyi's blog just minutes ago, its dawns on me that some people just takes customer service lightly. Perhaps, just because California Fitness is one of the largest and money-making fitness centre in Singapore, their Sales Assistant GM could feel free to use ugly words to bid farewell to their "First time customers".

  • You will understand what I meant after you've read her posting.

  • You will realise GEMS can never be successful with the presence of such GM hanging around.

  • You will probably find that you're a stupid idiot to join California Fitness. Go for Fitness First, they can offer you quality service (I'm not trying to sell, but its the next best substitute for Cal Fitness)

  • If Cal Fitness sales dropped for the next quarter, say a big thank you to your Assistant GM for his service standard. I seriously wonder what it takes or rather what makes him an Assistant General Manager. Sacarcism must be in the check-list.

And I have come to agreement with Hui's words that GEM could also probably means "Go-Eat-Maggots, SonOfABitch"
